I had a lovely stay with a huge, comfortable bed and a great buffet breakfast that kept me full all day! The classic vibe of the building was charming, even if some areas are a bit worn.

Shabby but not chic

We stayed for 4 nights in October. The hot water was crazy, like boiling! It made the shower almost useless at times. The staff was friendly, which was nice, and the restaurant was kinda alright, but I wouldn't go there for dinner. The room was bigger than most in London, but really needed a refresh.

we stayed at the thistle and loved the old world charm. the location is perfect, just across from kensington gardens and a short walk to the tube station. the service was fantastic, especially when they stored our luggage so we could explore. the breakfast in the conservatory was delightful—i loved the mushrooms and sausage!

Stayed with friends and had a blast! Perfect spot near the Royal Albert Hall for concerts and a quick ride to Oxford Street for shopping. The staff were super helpful, and the breakfast area had a charming vibe. Room service was prompt and delicious. Definitely recommend it for group getaways!

While the room's spaciousness was nice, I was disappointed to find only a double bed instead of a queen—it was a tight fit for two. The bathroom, although functional, could use some modernization. I noticed minor signs of wear that detracted from its appeal. The restaurant experience wasn’t quite up to par. my dinner took about 2 hours and still felt underwhelming, and my attempts to order cocktails were met with substantial limitations on available ingredients.

We had a family weekend getaway and it was awesome! The staff were super friendly, even helped us book show tickets. Our family room was spacious, and the location was perfect, just a few mins from the tube. Breakfast was tasty, nice atmosphere, and room service for fish and chips was on point! Just wish there were more pillows.

The room was spacious and equipped with a 49" HD Smart TV, a personal fridge with complimentary mineral water, and a very comfy bed that made our stay enjoyable. The staff were friendly and the easy access to free, fast WiFi was a big plus for catching up on travel plans.

When I reported it, there was no follow-up or solution communicated, leading to an early checkout without any apology. While it may suit others, my experience was far from satisfactory.
